For the weekly photo challenge: Surprise
Santa has been very busy in the past few weeks. Â I’ve explained to the children that nowadays he coordinates Christmas wishes with his elves, who have the gifts delivered for moms and dads to put under the tree – and Santa comes on Christmas night to check everything out, eat cookies, and fill Christmas stockings with goodies.
What a wonderful surprise it was for the UPS man to arrive at our home!
It’s official: Zack is a terrific kid – not a surprise to me, but apparently a surprise to him
While I knew Eva was in the student council at her school, her new t-shirt was a complete surprise to me
And what a HUGE surprise to learn that Trinidad and the Norman North High School marching band have been invited to play in Hawaii next December at the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The news was delivered after the winter concert
Rane also performed in a winter concert – and I was surprised to learn that her cousin Adrianna did not give up band after all, and also played in the concert
Of course, we’re all dreaming of a white Christmas…and Rane found the perfect place for dreaming this time of year

While it’s been a busy couple of weeks, it was still a bit of a surprise to discover Rane catnapping under our Christmas tree
And dreams sometimes do come true – what a surprise to learn that we can expect snow on Christmas morning this year!
Merry Christmas!!!!

Yes, I’m surmising the t-shirt was provided free of charge! I know she didn’t ask ME for the money 🙂

I should think it was free !!
That’s what I’m thinking, too 🙂
Are you still awake. I have just got up. 7am here.
Awake for a few more minutes. It’s midnight here and we’re expecting snow to begin any minute. It was a toss up whether to wait for snow or go to bed so Santa can swing by. At long last the kiddos chose to go to bed!
I hope you have a glorious Christmas Day, Ralph 🙂
Hugs,
Lyann
And I hope you all have a great day as well. Night. Night. 😀
